The youth justice system has faced multiple challenges in recent years. The overrepresentation of children from BAME backgrounds, the overcriminalisation of children from vulnerable settings and the increase of violent crimes among young people are some of the concerning trends that need addressing. A 2021 report published by the Alliance for Youth Justice reveals that Covid-19 has only intensified these challenges; increased backlog, escalating risks of child criminal exploitation, and rising mental health concerns are some of the issues highlighted in the report. Now is the time to come together through multi-agency collaboration to foster preventative approaches, support rehabilitation and reintegration, and to improve outcomes for all children in the youth justice system.
Join The Youth Justice Conference 2022 to hear the latest updates from leading experts in the youth justice system. From innovative multi-agency projects to early intervention case studies, this event will showcase a range of local-level best practice strategies to equip you with the appropriate tools to drive positive change within your organisation. You will also have the opportunity to network with senior colleagues from across the public and voluntary sectors, sharing your experiences and ideas to improve outcomes for young offenders.
